Bloomingdale Elementary John Ball Zoo Trip

On May 5th, the Young 5’s and Kindergarten students at Bloomingdale Elementary went to John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids.  It was a gorgeous, sunny day to spend hanging out with the animals!  The students loved being able to see the zoo keepers feeding the chimpanzees and the penguins.  The petting zoo was a popular place as our youngest learners got to get hands-on with a few furry friends.  This field trip tied in beautifully with our unit on living things ...

Bloomingdale Elementary Kingman Museum Trip

In May this year the second graders had a great time at Kingman Museum. The weather was perfect, and we had many wonderful parent volunteers to help out! The students had the opportunity to go on a scavenger hunt for different types of animals, visit the beautiful garden area, and stare up at the stars in the planetarium. The staff complimented our students on how well behaved they were and how interested they were in learning about everything. We are ...
