Energy Efficient Kits Arrive in Bloomingdale

During the months of February and March of 2016, the 5th grade students at Bloomingdale Elementary were fortunate to learn about energy efficiency and conservation through a program generously offered through the Indiana/Michigan Power Company.

Each fifth grade student was given an energy efficient kit that included such items, as 6 CFL light bulbs (with a range of different watts), a shower head, a filter alarm, a night light, a digital thermometer and a kitchen faucet aerator. The teachers ...

First Grade Visits the Butterflies

On March 31, the 1st grade classes went to Frederick Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids to see the butterflies. The students were able to see the full life cycle of the butterfly, close up and personal. Some of the chrysalises had just changed into butterflies. And the number and variety of butterflies was great. 2015 Veteran’s Day Program

Bloomingdale Elementary welcomes all veterans, family members, and community members to their annual Veteran’s Day program.  This program is led by Melony Scholte.  Mrs. Scholte led the first program several years ago with great success. Bloomingdale Elementary Open House

OPEN HOUSE

September 1, 2015 5:30 – 7:00

Bloomingdale Elementary Student Council Gives Back

The elementary student council is off to a busy start this school year. This fall, not only have they planned some exciting activities for the students, they are also giving back to the community. During the month of November, they sponsored a food drive. Our school collected almost 700 items that were donated to the area food bank.
