Pullman Rocks!

Second grade students from Pullman Elementary enjoyed learning about their community during a field trip to the Pullman museum and Pizza Plus.  At the museum, Ms. Laraway and Mr. Bale shared items from Pullman that helped students learn about the history of our community.  The building itself was the old gas station in 1925 and the original sign is in the building!  Students participated in a scavenger hunt and found a license plate from 1918, an old oak filing cabinet, and an old store ledger!  At Pizza Plus students were invited to make pizzas, frost a cupcake, and enjoy pop too!  Pizza Plus also has many historical photos and articles on display.  We greatly appreciate the kindness and generosity of our hosts!

We learned about our community on our walk too!  We saw the post office, grocery store, Northwoods Café, the storage garages, and many other important places in our community.  We are excited to begin our building project to showcase the homes, businesses, and all of the places that make up the community of Pullman!
